Here is the detailed Itinerary for Pin Parvati Pass Trek
Altitude: 6,800 ft. to 12,505 ft.
Drive distance:182 kilometers
Drive duration: 7 to 8 hours
Catch an overnight bus from Delhi and reach Manali the next day. You will be receiving the pick up facility from Manali at around 6 am. Since the Rohtang pass and Kunzum pass are known for their notorious traffic, it is recommended to leave early. It will probably take 10 to 12 hours to reach the Base Camp, Kaza. Today, you will take a rest and relax with camp members.
Altitude: 2,505 ft.
Trekking distance: 2 kilometers
Time took: 1 to 2 hours.
Trekking difficulty: Easy
Kaza is the base camp from where you will be traveling to Kibber. The distance between Kaza and Kibber is about 1 hour. Kibber is the most historical and wonderful village that has cultural values. Kibber village is known as the highest inhabited place in the world. The village is home to snow leopards and Siberian Ibex. It has typical Himachalistyle homes. It is indeed fun to explore the village.
Day 2 will be spent as acclimatization. It will be necessary to spend one day in Kaza to adapt to the weather conditions as the oxygen level will be lower. You cannot start the trek as soon as you reach it as it can lead to asphyxiation and it can become severe. Therefore, relax and explore nearby places.
Altitude: 12,300 ft. to 12,800 ft.

Time duration: 2-3 hours trek.

From Kaza, you need to drive to Mudh village. Mudh is about 48 km away from Kaza. It takes almost 3 hours to reach Mudh. From Mudh village, you will be starting your trekking journey. After trekking for 3 hours, you will reach Tiya. Mudh village is beautiful and it gives you the most delightful trekking as compared to other treks. There are no villages in between till you
reach Parvati valley.

On the fourth day, you will be traveling to Shia from Tiya. You must start trekking as early as possible. On the way, you will go through glacial streams. The glacial streams become hard while crossing during the midday. You will have to walk a long distance and go via ice-cold streams which will make the feet freeze.
You need to be careful as Shia is a landslide prone area.

On the fifth day, you will start by crossing the cold pine rivulet. It is a bit difficult to cross the pine river as it is cold. The river bed consists of hard rocks and pebbles on the way. Hence, it is necessary to be careful while crossing the river bed.
Once you cross the river, you will trek for 5 to 7 hours on a steep mountain with a height of 1,700 ft. It's difficult to climb a steep ascend so you have to be careful. You will be set up at the Pin base camp. Pin base camp is situated 1,000 ft below the Pin Parvati pass.

You need to cross the Pin Base Camp as soon as possible, because as the day progresses, it becomes increasingly difficult to pass. The Parvati–Pin Pass offers an incredible experience with mesmerizing views. While crossing the Parvati Glacier, you’ll encounter sections filled with crevasses, making it both challenging and thrilling.
The Parvati Base Camp resembles the Pin Base Camp and is equally cold and serene. From there, you’ll continue toward Mantali, which is characterized by steep terrain, streams, and large boulders.
At Mantali, you’ll have to cross ice-cold water barefoot over rocks and pebbles. Once you arrive, you can set up your campsite, light a campfire, and relax with your trekking buddies, soaking in the adventure and beauty of the journey.
On the seventh day, you’ll wake up to the most breathtaking and captivating views. The beauty of the campsite is truly unique and will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The glorious sunrise and serene sunset make every moment at the camp worthwhile, filling your day with peace and wonder.

On the eighth day, we will begin our journey toward Thakur Kuan. Along the way, we’ll pass through one of the prettiest and easiest downhill stretches — the Meadows of Odi Thatch. The trail offers a variety of terrains and several stream crossings, adding both excitement and beauty to the trek. On your left, you’ll spot the charming Parvati rivulet, glistening under the sunlight, enhancing the scenic appeal of the route.
As the trail continues, you’ll pass through dense forest areas and lush meadowlands before entering the Thakur Kuan region. This area is surrounded by orchids, flowering plants, and small trees, creating a refreshing natural ambiance.
One of the major highlights of this stretch is the Pandu Bridge, a challenging and thrilling section that appears around 2.5 hours after the trek begins. It is considered one of the trickiest patches on this route, so it is highly recommended that trekking groups stay close together while crossing it.
Thakur Kuan also offers several water points and is an ideal spot for camping activities. The campsite is located at an altitude of approximately 11,700 feet above sea level, providing magnificent views and a peaceful resting place after a rewarding day’s trek.

On the ninth day, we will begin our trek toward Tunda Bhuj. The trail follows a narrow and slightly slippery path that gradually descends to the valley floor. As you make your way, you’ll be surrounded by spectacular views of nature — cascading waterfalls, striking black rock formations, and vast valleys that create a truly breathtaking landscape.
Tunda Bhuj is a beautiful meadow set on a steep slope, offering a perfect spot to unwind after the trek. You’ll spend the night here, enjoying camping under the stars, a warm dinner, and quality time with your trekking companions amidst the serene mountain atmosphere.

Time taken: 7 to 8 hours.

On the tenth day, you will begin your journey by crossing a bridge near the Parvati rivulet. The trail will take you through lush pasturelands, open meadows, and quiet, empty paths that lead into the vast Parvati Valley. The first segment of this route is known as the Ramkund Trail, offering peaceful surroundings and scenic beauty.
As you continue, you’ll start noticing signs of civilization, including small huts belonging to local residents. Along the way, you’ll also come across a Dhaba near Kheerganga, where trekkers often stop to rest and enjoy refreshments.
Upon reaching Kheerganga, the atmosphere becomes lively and welcoming, with several cafes and restaurants catering to trekkers. You can relax, enjoy music, and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Don’t miss the chance to take a dip in the natural hot water spring, a truly refreshing and rejuvenating experience to end your trek on a memorable note.

On the eleventh and final day, you will cover the last stretch of the journey — a 7 km trek from Kheerganga to Barshaini. This marks the conclusion of your incredible trekking adventure. From Barshaini, you can find several buses and transport options available to Kullu, with a travel time of approximately three hours. Please note that an additional fare is required for the trip to Kullu.
Once you reach Kullu, you can choose to depart for your home the same day, carrying with you wonderful memories of the trek, the breathtaking landscapes, and the unforgettable experiences shared with your fellow trekkers.
The buffer day is an optional day that allows you to stay in Kullu and explore its scenic beauty and local attractions at your own pace. You can use this day to relax, visit nearby places, or simply enjoy the charm of the town after the trek. Please note that the buffer day stay is not included in the standard itinerary, and you will need to bear additional charges for accommodation and other expenses during your extended stay in Kullu.
